HBM has a long history of designing and helping build bicycle and pedestrian facilities, bikeways, greenways, and interpretive trails for municipalities across the Midwest.
From short trail additions to up to 3-mile bike path that cuts through urban development or rural countryside, or a multi-use trail that meanders along a river, HBM’s engineers can bring all types of trails to completion. HBM has designed recreational trail systems, including multiuse and non-motorized trails with pedestrian bridges. HBM specializes in trail design elements such as trail alignment plans, retaining wall structures, cuts and fills, erosion protection, pedestrian bridge structures, under- and overpasses, and remaining ADA compliant.
