HBM’s role in this project included inspection, analysis of existing structures, design of all structural elements to support the mechanical equipment, production of structural drawings and specifications, review of shop drawings, and coordination.

HBM reviewed the as-built structural drawings for Benner Library. The existing structure was analyzed to support the new mechanical equipment loads and structural support systems for the new chiller and air handling units were designed.

HBM reviewed the as-built structural drawings for Ludwig Center. The existing structure was analyzed to support the new mechanical equipment loads and structural support systems for the new air supply and cooling tower units were designed. A concrete removal plan was also included and details for a new concrete pad (to support a chiller unit) were produced.
